Neighborhoods Trying to Be Green, Biodiversity
This is something I ran across and love it. October is NeighborWoods Month. For communities making the effort to provide biodiversity, go green, plant tress or what ever happy tree-aware endeavor you may be involved in, please visit Neighbor Woods. They offer event planing advice, fliers, brochures and literature along with a contest for green efforts any community can enter and win a $500 mini-grant. $500 goes a long, long way at a local native plant sale. Gotta love those native plants – they be cheap!
from their site:
Neighbor NeighborWoods Month is a national campaign to regreen America’s cities. Join us this October to celebrate volunteerism and community revitalization. It is a great way to draw attention to the value of trees and invest in the overall health and success of our communities.
